While there may not be a cure for Rosacea, many professionals are successful in managing this condition successfully.

Is Jan Marini’s Age Intervention Eyelash Conditioner safe to use?

Many of you have heard or read that”Age Intervention Eyelash” had been seized by the FDA. You may also be aware that she has recently introduced a new product called “Marini Lash”. We wanted to educate the many consumers that have inquired about the reasons for recent changes by the manufacturer, Jan Marini Skin Research.

The controversy surrounding Jan Marini Age Intervention Eyelash started back in 2005. Jan Marini’s eyelash conditioner was initially released under the name Age Intervention Eyelash. (not eyelash “conditioner”). It was during the release of this product that the FDA were involved. This resulted due to Jan Marini’s eyelash conditioner containing an ingredient that was apparently similar to one found in a drug used for glaucoma called Lumigan, and developed by Allergan.

But, once this controversy arose, Jan Marini responded accordingly to the concerns of the FDA and reformulated in order to remove this particular ingredient. This products had only been on the market a few month and never sold by us online. In addition to the actual ingredient concern, the company was advised that vocabulary on packaging such as “eyelash growth” were considered as making a “drug claim”. Therefore, the new eyelash conditioner was released under the name Age Intervention Eyelash Conditioner, and any wording relating to claims of growth or altering of the hair were removed. Customers spoke louder than the FDA and Allergan though and Jan Marini Skin Research responded. In June 2008 Jan Marini eyelash conditioners were re-born with her new product called Marini Lash. This prostaglandin free alternative has quickly proven to produce just as good, if not better results then it’s predecessors!

Since its debut last month, Marini lash has received great reviews; and the Aesthetic staff at The Skin Specialist.com tell us they have a hard time keeping it in stock. This is a great product and you’ll see results just like you have with former Jan Marini eyelash conditioners. Marini Lash is formulated much differently though than the others with a special peptide blend specific to hair growth. We expect this product to be around for a long time.
